Pansy or bratek in Polish

Walking down the town I noticed two guys mowing the grass in the park. To my surprise, they destroyed all the beautiful flowers growing there. I managed to 'rescue' quite a few :-) !

Vacation in Poland

Hi from Poland!

I'm enjoying spending time with my family but I am also checking out all the plants around :-)
I collected quite a few. Pensies are very popular here right now. They are all being pressed so when I am back to NM I will have new material to work with.
M etsy shop will stay closed for about 5 weeks but once it's back- there will be plenty of new goodies.

New photographs of my cards

I've been working on improving the way my cards are presented on the front page of my shop.
I decided to use an easel and some colorful background.

My etsy shop looks better now :-)

Changes in my etsy shop

I dream of having a card shop.

That's why in my rusticbynature etsy shop I will now focus on 3 kinds of handmade cards:

1. Pressed flower cards - I love working woth all sorts of plants I collect in Europe and NM
2. Photo cards - I use my husband's photography.
3. Recycled cards- I reuse discarded materials to create unique and 'green' cards

In future, I plan to open another shop that will feature Jaime's photography.

The Hearts - pressed flower card - SOLD 05/09/10

My come back to pressing flowers :)

The card contains 3 kinds of plants:

* the blue heart is made of a cornflower (centaurea cyanus) I collected in Poland
* the yellow heart contains little leaves punched in Polish sunflower petals (helianthus annuus)
* the dark red one is cut of of a New Mexican rose petals (rosaceae)

The card is blank inside and has an extra liner for your message. The envelope has a lovely pattern punched on the back and a pressed leaf in front of it. You can find more images on etsy where the card is available for purchase.

Are you into manholes? ;-)

Do you pay attention to manholes? Do you notice them at all?
Think of different cities, different countries- this is art!

The one above belongs to the Duke City!
I really like this cool (and rustic!) image!
If you'd like a print, a set of cards, a keychain or a magnet containg this Albuquerque manhole, drop me a line and I will prepare a listing for you in my etsy shop :)

Find yourself in Ojito Wilderness!

While geocaching in Ojito Wilderness we came across this lonely Pinon tree. Jaime took a shot we both like a lot!

I made a set of 3 cards with photographic prints of this beautiful image. I offer them in my etsy shop. If you like this picture as much as we do, we would be happy to make any print size you wish or frame it for you!
